Foodies on Foot - Stellenbosch

Enjoy a leisurely walk through lovely Stellenbosch in the heart of the Cape Winelands, pausing along the way to sample some of the town's characteristic artisan foods and drinks. The drive there couldn't be more scenic, as you will follow a route that lies in the shadow of the dramatic mountain range Hottentots Holland. Upon arriving in Stellenbosch, you will walk through the old quarter, which is particularly historic because the town is South Africa's second-oldest. While the tastings will depend on the day and the businesses visited along the walking route, you can expect to sample garden-fresh fruits and vegetables, artisan breads and a charcuterie featuring traditional items such as biltong, an air-dried meat marinated in a spice rub.
