Your tour begins by boarding a catamaran directly from the ship. Traveling to the Outer Reef, you will drop anchor and transfer to the pontoon which is designated for your exclusive use. Here, an underwater world of exquisite beauty, in the world's richest marine habitat, is waiting for you to discover.

During the approximately 2 hour transfer, as you make your way to the reef, morning tea and coffee will be served for your enjoyment. Other beverages are available for purchase onboard.

Once at the pontoon, you can choose from several activities included in your package. Step aboard a semi-submersible ride for breathtaking views of colorful fish and intricate coral reef gardens. The inviting aquamarine waters are sure to provide a tempting attraction for those wishing to snorkel (snorkel, mask, fins and flotation devices are provided). Optional scuba diving and special escorted snorkeling tours are available at an extra charge, as well as an assortment of souvenirs. Your pontoon conveniently offers an underwater viewing chamber so that you may view the beautiful coral and the magnificent array of fish without getting wet.

While you enjoy the reef, a buffet lunch will be set onboard the vessel for you to enjoy, as well as coffee and tea. Soft drinks, Australian wine and beer will be available for purchase.

Following approximately 2 1/2 to 3 hours at the pontoon, your catamaran will make the 2 hour return journey back to the ship.

Need to Know:

Note: All trips are subject to weather/tidal conditions. Seas can be rough during the approximately 2-hour catamaran ride; guests prone to seasickness should take preventive measures. Although boat transfer is exclusive for our guests if minimum participation is met, the pontoon might not always be. Comfortable clothing, swimwear, towel, proper sun protection (water resistant SPF 30+), rubber soled or reef shoes are recommended. This tour is designated as non-smoking.

Guests must follow safety procedures outlined by staff members while participating in any of the reef activities. Guests who wish to snorkel will be asked to sign a waiver. Consumption of alcohol before or during water activities is not recommended. Those who participate in water activities do so at their own risk and responsibility and must know how to swim, be comfortable in the water and able to cope with occasional currents.

Wetsuits and diving equipment are available for rent on site. Certified divers must bring C-Card & Log Book. All diving is subject to successful completion of a medical questionnaire. Certain medical conditions (asthma, epilepsy, high blood pressure or certain medications) may exclude individuals from diving. The minimum age for diving is 12 years. Wildlife sightings, although likely, cannot be guaranteed.

Do not bring valuable items as there are limited security lockers available in the catamaran and pontoon. It is suggested that you bring along a credit card or Australian cash for purchasing optional items.
