OVERVIEW

One of the highlights will be watching the sangomas enter into a trance-like state and perform a dance that enables them to connect with their ancestral spirits. A tour of Umlazi follows, during which you will learn how it has transitioned since 1845, when British settlers forcibly occupied the area.
