Gourmet Experience

Depart the pier for the drive along the N2 National Highway en route to Somerset West, which lies in the valley beneath Hottentot's Holland Mountains. Upon arrival, you will visit Vergelegen Wine Estate to sample some of their fine wines. Vergelegen is recognized as one of South Africa's leading wine estates, and dates back over 300 years. After your wine-tasting, you will take a brief stroll through the Octagonal Garden and historic Manor House.

Next, you will continue on to Morgenster Estate for a cellar tour, and wine and olive oil tasting. In addition to top quality wines, Morgenster produces an extra virgin olive oil that has been judged the world's best at a prestigious competition in Italy. From here, you will proceed to lovely Stellenbosch, the Town of Oaks and second-oldest town in South Africa. Upon arrival, you will be served a gourmet lunch at one of the many fine restaurants of the Cape Winelands, and accompanied by fine wines from the adjoining winery.

Enjoy lunch accompanied by wonderful wines from the adjoining winery. Your tour concludes with a visit to another wine estate, where you'll have the opportunity to sample their wines and award-winning, hand-made Forest Hill cheeses.

Following this exclusive gourmet tour, you will re-board your mini-van for the return drive to the pier.
