Sibuya Private Game Reserve

Drive through a game reserve that features vastly different types of terrain, which will increase your chances of observing a variety of archetypal animals. The sprawling Sibuya Game Reserve has more navigable riverfront that any other reserve in South Africa, as you will discover on your final approach to the reserve’s forest camp by boat. Approximately three hours of driving through Sibuya in a 4x4 vehicle follows, during which you may travel through river plains, grasslands and a natural shrubland known as fynbos. You will have an excellent chance of spotting the Big Five – lions, elephants, leopards, rhinos and Cape buffaloes, which roam freely through the various biomes. Sibuya is also an extraordinary destination for birding as more than 400 avian species can be found there. The guides will point out and identify birds such as multi-colored Narina Trogons and Goliath Herons, which have been known to swallow fish weighing as much as two pounds.
