Discover the historic and gourmet heritage of the Marlborough region by touring a fascinating aviation museum, craft beer brewery and handmade chocolate factory.

Visit the spectacular Omaka Aviation Heritage Centre in the picturesque Marlborough region. Here, you'll tour one of the world's largest private collections of World War I aircraft, including the only existing Caproni Ca 22 parasol monoplane. You'll also see rare planes such as the bird-like Etrich Taube, Curtis MF Flying Boat, and an agile Fokker made famous by the Red Baron. But planes only touch upon the compelling displays, which include artifacts and personal belongings from many of the pilots. You don't have to be an aviation buff to appreciate this unrivalled, historic collection.

The attention turns to pleasing your palate with a tour of nearby brewery. This award winning brewery produces a range of beers using local ingredients that enlighten the palate and thrill the senses. You will get to taste some of the ales and admire the brewery, with the smell of local hops brewing.

And what better conclusion to your day than dessert at Makana Confections? One of New Zealand's leading producers of handmade chocolates and other sweet temptations. You’ll be offered a tempting taste of what Makana has to offer, and be able to watch them at work creating their indulgent treats.
