Take an approximately 30-minute ride to visit a tropical plantation where bananas, mangos and pineapples are grown in the Mexican countryside. Learn about plants that are used for medical purposes. Continue to the Mesoamerican archeological site Soledad de Maciel, in the Costa Grande area. The site is also known as Xihuacan, meaning a place of the turquiose owners and it is relates to the understanding of the time and calendar. This great ceremonial center became a site of agricultural and religious rites and was a regional zone of cultural importance. With Olmec and Teotihucan cultural influence, this society occupied this site since the pre-classic period – 2500 B.C. to 200 A.D. On your return, a stop will be made at vantage point to admire the planned resort of Ixtapa. The perfect photo opportunity!

Note: Participants must be at least 8 years of age and able to walk long distances on gravel, dirt, sand and grass and manage a total of approximately 40 steps. Please wear comfortable clothing and walking shoes, bring insect repellent.
