OVERVIEW

Walk through the heart of Charlottetown and stop along the way to taste foods that are characteristic of Prince Edward Island. Your first stop will be at the unique Gallery Coffee House & Bistro where you’ll enjoy a fresh brewed coffee and pastry made on site while surrounded by the work of local artists. At the Island’s oldest Irish bar, the Olde Dublin Pub you will be served a local craft beer with steamed mussels that are harvested from the nutrient-rich waters along the island’s coast. Next stop by the Queen of Fries for some local, hand-cut Island French Fries. While Lobster on the Wharf is celebrated for its mini lobster roll. Inspiring tastings such as these contribute to the island’s reputation as a foodie paradise. You will also learn about the local history as you walk through Charlottetown. It is known as the birthplace of Canada because an historic 1864 conference was held there, which led to the country’s confederation.
