Cheetah And Olives Tasting

Visit a wildlife center dedicated to the conservation of free-ranging cheetahs and enjoy a tasting of Bordeaux-style wines and olive products at a centuries-old winery. After an introductory video that describes the plight of South African cheetahs, you will tour the Cheetah Outreach facility. Its goal is to care for cheetahs, reduce their interaction with humans and help farmers protect their livestock from cheetahs and other predators. Besides having the opportunity to pet one of these magnificent creatures, you may interact with an Anatolian Shepherd, a dog traditionally used to guard farm animals.

A wine tasting follows at Morgenster Estate in the foothills of Helderberg Mountain. Although known for producing extraordinary wines, including Italian varietals such as Nebbiolo, the estate also makes outstanding olive oil. You can expect to sample several extra-virgin olive oils that may include a particularly intense one extracted from a patented variety of olives that Morgenster has the sole right to cultivate.
