Split By Trackless Train

DETAILS

  • 4
    hrs Estimate Duration

Take in the considerable sights in Split from the comfort of an open-air wheeled train that travels along the roads much like a trolley. However, walking is the best way to see the vibrant city center as it allows you to spend more time at landmarks such as the palace that Roman emperor Diocletian built in the early 4th century. This sprawling complex of temples, cathedrals and residences is so spectacular that UNESCO declared it a World Heritage site. It makes for a great introduction to Split, the remainder of which you will see aboard the trackless train. The views will be particularly breathtakingas you head towards the forested Marjan Peninsula, which is rimmed by pristine beaches such as crescent-shaped Bene. Photo stops there and at the green oasis Sustipan Park will offer plenty of time to capture Split’s natural beauty as well as its gorgeous coast.
