Norwegian's Giving Joy Program

Each year during Teacher Appreciation Week, NCL launches Norwegian's Giving Joy contest inviting the public to nominate a deserving educator and recognize their incredible efforts within their classrooms. Since 2019, the program has received nearly 62,000 teacher nominations, awarded nearly 300 educators with the vacation of a lifetime, and donated over $550,000 to educators and their schools which has truly helped make an impact in each of their communities. In addition to the prizes, the nomination platform itself recognizes hundreds of spectacular individuals, who all too often go underappreciated and unrecognized.

    Brad has been teaching at Franklin Central for 19 years and has dedicated his life to making music accessible to as many kids in the school as possible. He is the director of the FC Singers nationally ranked show choir and works endless hours to ensure that FC Singers feels like a safe place for all kids. He spends lots of time outside of school hours picking music, selecting costumes, and working with a creative team to plan out shows and arrangements. He cares deeply about his students and wants them to find success in the arts to help with their own future goals. Brad has a family that he supports and loves too! He works hard to be sure that all in his choral program and in his personal life get the attention they deserve.
